FCC Brought World Cup Energy to the Miami Learning Experience!

While the World Cup soccer stage lit up this summer, stadium energy took over the pitch at the Miami Learning Experience School.

Through the Playability program, FCC USA collaborated with the Miami Learning Experience School to host an all-summer soccer initiative serving 60 K-12 students with special needs, primarily individuals with Down syndrome.

At the start of this training, many participants faced daily physical and social challenges. Early sessions focused on basic movement, establishing fundamental comfort levels on the field before advancing to structured teamplay.

As weeks progressed, guided team-play with coaches served as a vehicle for life-changing growth and independence. Through intentional training drills and group work, participants strengthened their movement, enhanced coordination, and deepened their communication skills.

Day by day, hesitation transformed into active drive, turning every drill into a victory.

These on-field activities translated into off-field capability, building lasting confidence and self-expression. Participants did not just learn soccer, they discovered their own capacity to lead, communicate, and excel.

By the end of the program, participants celebrated significant personal milestones. The team demonstrated remarkable independence, encouraging one another, and achieving every goal they set on the pitch.

The weeks of hard work culminated in a triumphant graduation from the Playability summer program. These 60 players proved that capability knows no bounds when given the structure to thrive.
