COPA IMPACTO: A DAY OF MOVEMENT, JOY, AND LEARNING

Our recent Copa Impacto tournament was filled with movement, joy, and powerful moments of learning. Throughout the day, our children explored teamwork, emotional skills, and the transformative power of play, all core components of FCC’s methodology.

The event took place at Doral Meadow Park, where part of our team arrived early to prepare the fields and welcome families for a full day of fútbol con propósito.

As families checked in, every child received an FCC T-shirt to wear proudly during the tournament. Parents brought incredible energy to the sidelines, cheering throughout each match. Games were organized by age groups, Kindergarten vs. Pre-K and 1st vs. 2nd grade, ensuring that every player competed alongside peers in similar developmental stages.

We were grateful to have partners join us throughout the day. Goya and Television23 supported the event, while Alkaline provided water to keep all participants hydrated and safe.

Throughout the tournament, children embodied key FCC values such as respect, teamwork, joy, and resilience. To close the event, coaches recognized the effort and enthusiasm of every participant, parents were thanked for their ongoing support, and each child proudly received a medal. A special tournament trophy was also awarded to the coach from Centro Mater (Inti and Deonte can confirm the name), whose collaboration was essential in making the event a success.

Copa Impacto once again reminded us why we do this work: because play transforms, and because community-centered programs like this uplift our children, families, and neighborhoods.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this experience meaningful for our kids. Together, we continue uplifting communities through soccer. ⚽❤️
