Amasai’s Growth: Making Connections & Building Skills for Success

Last year, Amasai stepped onto the pitch with FCC USA as a sixth grader, bringing a high level of energy and drive to the game. His family discovered the program through a classmate, looking for a structured space where he could play, build confidence, and grow alongside his peers.

What started as after-school soccer quickly grew into an inspiring journey of personal discovery.

Amasai first joined the FCC USA program at the Children’s Home Society, where he channeled his enthusiasm into developing core skills, strong values, and a true sense of belonging. Through structured activities and teamwork, he learned to embrace new social connections, turning the pitch into a launching pad for growth and personal leadership.

At FCC USA’s World Cup activations, Amasai continued to expand his horizons, working with teammates and stepping out of his comfort zone to start new friendships with other children in his community.

Week after week, structured play helped him unlock new capabilities both on the field and in the classroom.

Now in seventh grade, Amasai carries these lifelong habits of connection, resilience, and teamwork into his daily life.

"FCC’s program at CHS has given Amasai a positive way to channel his energy, build skills, and make lasting friends," his father shared.

For Amasai, joining the program opened doors to opportunities he might not otherwise have had. When purposeful activity connects with structured play, it unlocks youth potential and inspires growth across the entire community.
