Golidad Training: Four Days of Growth, Leadership, and Transformatio
At FCC, we believe that soccer is more than a game, it is a tool to build confidence, trust, and resilience in children and communities. To live up to that mission, our coaches must first strengthen themselves. That’s the heart of Golidad Training: preparing coaches not just to teach soccer, but to lead with purpose.
Over four transformative days, our team came together to learn, reflect, and grow. Here’s a look back at the journey.
Day 1: Building the Foundation The first day set the tone for everything that followed. We focused on the three pillars of FCC coaching: safety, trust, and confidence.
Our coaches worked on five essential skills that define our methodology:
Identity – knowing who we are as role models and leaders.
Conviction – speaking with certainty, without hesitation.
Preparation – being ready for every session, no matter the challenge.
Knowledge – understanding the game, the methodology, and the children.
Teamwork – because transformation only happens together.
💡 Lesson learned: before we can empower children, we must first strengthen ourselves as coaches.
Day 2: From the Classroom to the Field On the second day, we put theory into practice.
🌅 In the morning at Modern Elite Training, coaches worked on problem-solving and team leadership—skills that apply not only on the field, but also in schools, families, and communities.
🌆 In the afternoon at the City of West Miami Recreation Center, we joined local kids to test our learning in real time. Coaches designed and led games that built communication, trust, and resilience.
💡 Day 2 reminder: training isn’t only about soccer,it’s about becoming leaders who inspire change everywhere.
Day 3: Designing with Purpose Despite a full day of rain, nothing stopped us from diving deep into one of FCC’s most important pillars: Lesson Plan Design.
From 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the FCC Elion Office, our coaches learned how to create training programs that: ✔️ Are rooted in values ✔️ Adapt to different age groups ✔️ Carry intentionality and purpose
But this work went beyond the field. Coaches reflected on how lesson design can influence schools, homes, and communities, helping children feel safe, supported, and inspired.
💡 Day 3 lesson: a great coach doesn’t just run a session, they design experiences that transform lives.
Day 4: Graduation Day Our final day marked not just an end, but a beginning.
At Stadio Soccer, we trained alongside the US Soccer Foundation / Just Ball, applying everything learned during the week. Coaches worked on integrating strategies, lesson plans, and values into real coaching scenarios, building confidence, clarity, and trust on the field.
🍴 In the afternoon, we gathered with Goalidad for lunch and continued with the Soccer for Peace training, reflecting on soccer as a bridge for unity and healing.
We closed the day with gratitude. To our Colombian family FCC Colombia, and to Carlos Pérez and Roberto Peñaloza, thank you for guiding us, challenging us, and making us stronger, not just as coaches, but as leaders.
💡 Graduation lesson: this is not the end, but the beginning of new opportunities to transform lives through soccer.
Looking Ahead Golidad Training was more than four days of workshops. It was a journey of self-discovery, teamwork, and conviction. Our coaches leave this program stronger, more intentional, and better prepared to inspire children—not only as athletes, but as leaders and changemakers.
At FCC, we know that transformation starts with us. And from here, the work only grows bigger. ⚽✨
